3rd Annual Event

Our entire student body is raising funds to prepare 11,000 meals. Students will diligently measure, mix, seal, weigh, label, and box ingredients that provide meals for men, women, and children in communities where severe hunger is a daily reality. These may be locally distributed or to third world countries. Events like these encourage our students to outwardly love, serve, and provide for others throughout their lives to the glory of Christ!

Event History
In 2020, HRCA retired its annual fall walkathon fundraiser. We are grateful for the many years of support and participation exhibited through that special event.
The walkathon was adapted into a mission-oriented event in November. We partnered with Rise Against Hunger in Raleigh, NC to package 10,125 meals that made their way to Haiti.
This opportunity educated our students about what hunger looks like around the world, encouraged them to work hard to bless others, and increased a sense of gratitude for what God has given them.
Little did we know that a global pandemic would strike and disrupt everyday life in ways beyond our imagination. Food shortages and the hunger crisis increased dramatically. We were humbled to serve, especially when many organizations had to withdraw participation in packing meals due to COVID-19. We operated this event with utmost care.
In 2021, we hosted another RAH event with just as much excitement and success. We are grateful for all of our sponsors and donors who made this possible!
